1.Project Categories:
Edutainment Type of Multimedia Interactive Project

2.Project Name: Hazourdous dangerous!

3.Obectives:

3.1 The main objective of our product is to educate primary students on how to recycle single use batteries in the easiest way.

3.2 Other than that we would also want to educate our audience on how to handle batteries in a manner that will not harm our earth.

3.3 The other objective is to create understanding about single use batteries by providing info
about parts of battery, how to dispose it and how to use it wisely.

3.4 Since our audience are students, we would want to teach them to how to love the earth by
helping to recycle and our main recycle items are single use batteries.

3.5 Lastly we would want to attract the audience to start recycling in their early age.

4.Target Audience:
a) Age: 7-12 years old
b) Gender: Female and Male
c) Educational level: Primary school students
d) Location: Malaysia
e)Language: Simple English
f) Computer literacy: For those who have basic understanding on computer.

5.Treatment:

5.1 Basically to achieve our objective we need to educate the audience by creating an environment which contains both entertainment and education.

5.2 The most important objective that we need to achieve is to make sure that our audience knows how to recycle single-use batteries.

5.3 As our audiences are kids, we need different approach to reach them. Our theme is cheerful, fun but yet educational.

5.4 Idea/metaphor:

a) We would use a daily life situation where a boy is playing games or watching television and suddenly his battery is out of use. Instead of just showing the boy of what we need to do, we would make a pop-up where questions on what to do with the batteries would be asked.

b) If the answer is correct, an animation of the correct answer would be shown and a ‘TING!’ sound will be played to show that the answer is right. If the answer is wrong, we would show what is the right answer and for this a ‘TEET” sound will be played to show the answer is wrong.

c) In the animation, we would use attractive bright RGB colors such as green, yellow, blue, orange and many others. This would definitely make our project more cheerful and interesting for the kids.

d)Not only we will show about how to recycle a battery, but in the animation, we will also explain about parts of battery which will be displaying the inner parts of battery in detail.

e) To entertain the audience we would use cute kids voice such as young kids giggling, playing, laughing, sighing and many others. To make it more interesting we might use cartoon sound such as Garfield or spongebob if it is suitable with our character.

f) Buttons are very important to interact with the kids so we are creating our own button based in one shape such as round to make it look neat and every button has its own icon such as the recycle sign, batteries, hazardous signs and others. Some buttons might have sound related to its actions. For example if it is a throwing action maybe the sound of throwing rubbish in a can would be the button sound.

g) Lastly, the fonts that will be used in this project is kids like such as jaggy fries, love ya like a sister, orange book and many others. The fonts are easy to read and yet are fun to see. The colors of the font that we choose is black, green, and pink. (there might be some other colors added here)

go greenys!
